THE INFERNAL DEVICES WILL NEVER STOP COMING
A net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. Mortmain plans to use his Infernal Devices, an army of pitiless automatons, to destroy the Shadowhunters. He needs only one last item to complete his plan: he needs Tessa Gray.
Charlotte Branwell, head of the London Institute, is desperate to find Mortmain before he strikes. But when Mortmain abducts Tessa, the boys who lay equal claim to her heart, Jem and Will, will do anything to save her. For though Tessa and Jem are now engaged, Will is as much in love with her as ever.
As those who love Tessa rally to rescue her from Mortmain’s clutches, Tessa realizes that the only person who can save her is herself. But can a single girl, even one who can command the power of angels, face down an entire army?

What is Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare about?
I go into this book review with a little hesitation. I didn’t really want to write about it because it’s the last one in a trilogy and I don’t want to ruin anything for you guys. But I loved it so much that I had to share. If you’re unfamiliar with this series, you can read my review of book one: Clockwork Angel, and check out the Goodreads page for the second, Clockwork Prince (I don’t believe I reviewed that one).
“Tessa Gray should be happy—aren’t all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa’s heart, will do anything to save her.”
I seriously loved this book. I loved the others too, but this one! Goodness me. What a beautiful and wonderful way to end a series.
Anyway! This series is fantastically written, and it has fabulous twists and turns, great characters, dramatic events and deathly consequences. It’s full of fantastic creatures and concepts, and I just love reading Clare’s stories. If you haven’t read this series, I can’t recommend it enough (if you like the fantasy/supernatural/type genre). However, on her website, Clare suggests reading her books in the following order, which is also the order, I believe, she published them in:
The Mortal Instruments Part 1:
City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass
The Infernal Devices:
Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince, Clockwork Princess
The Mortal Instruments Part 2:
City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, City of Heavenly Fire
And then the other stories, like The Bane Chronicles.
Get reading people!
If you have read this series, what did you think?!
