Every time I’m in in the area, I head to the Hamilton Gardens.

If this is first you’re hearing of them, in New Zealand city of Hamilton there is a park, and it’s absolutely stunning all year round. Not only do they have amble space for picnics and summer time games of cricket, a cafe, a pond and ideal spots for wedding photos, the gardens themselves are simply beautiful.

All of the gardens are themed, the first half being inspired by countries around the world. Wander through a Japanese garden, English, Indian, Italian … and so many more. Then they have the newer ones which are being constantly added to as years go by. There’s now a Tudor garden, a herb garden, an edible garden, and plans for fantasy gardens, which I am well excited about.

The other week my friend I were in, once again, in Hamilton, so we headed to the gardens (again), and spent an hour or so wandering around them.

They’re well worth a visit if you’re driving by Hamilton, New Zealand.

Have you been? Which is your favourite garden?
