We all know September 1st to be the day the students go back to Hogwarts, right? But did we also know that it’s this day, 1st September 2017 that Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione (and Draco) wave goodbye to their kids on Platform 9 3/4 in ‘19 Years later‘? Crazy, right? I, for one, feel ancient.
How do we know this? A little math, a little magic, and a little thanks to Harry Potter Wiki. While some of the second-generation kids started in previous years (Teddy Lupin, Victoire Weasley, and James Potter are all older than the leading kids in The Cursed Child), Albus Potter, Rose Weasley, and Scorpius Malfoy all begin their Hogwarts journey in 2017. Today. At Kings Cross Station, London.
Last year we celebrated Hogwarts Day with Harry Potter Cross Stitch and Embroidery Patterns, a post that went down incredibly well. This year I thought I’d mix it up a little (mostly due to the fact that I kept seeing wonderful photos on Unsplash that made me want to board the Hogwarts Express all over again), and create a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw Hufflepuff and Slytherin mood board to celebrate.
All the photos are from the wonderful photographers at Unsplash, their names credited below each board. Feel free to Pin them for later!
