The BoMoSh is a post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

I kicked off the new decade by reading Queen of Nothing and The Toll, both of which are the final books in series. While both of them were very enjoyable and great endings to series I’ve really enjoyed, I didn’t enjoy them as much as their predecessors. The Truth About Magic is the third poetry compilation from Instagram-famous Atticus, and was again another beautiful collection of short poems. Review coming for Slay and also Heartstopper Vol 3 soon, and while technically I haven’t finished Infinity Son as on today, the last Monday of January, I will be finishing it by the 31st.

Movies

Little Women (2020)

My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

Raise your hand if you loved Little Women! I read this book when I was very young, and remember watching the 1994 version over and over growing up. I was a little wary that they weren’t going to do a good job with this remake, but boy I was wrong. I loved the style of this version, the flicking backwards and forwards through time. While some of the casting was a little iffy for me, Saoirse Ronan was a spectacular Jo, and that’s the main thing. I finally also watched the 2019 real-life adaptation of Aladdin, and actually really enjoyed it! I know there’s been some split feelings about this one, but I did like it. My Big Fat Greek Wedding was an on-a-whim film we watched one summer’s night, and it’s still as excellent as it was the first time I watched it.

Shows

Supernatural has continued, but if you’ve been keeping track, I’m way behind. I’m currently watching Season 12 and the final season (ever! Cry) is Season 15. The Good Place also started back up this month, and I watched all of The Witcher and I need season two now please and thank you.
