Or your favourite quote. It doesn’t have to be song lyrics, but this is just a fun and quick DIY that can really some character to your bookshelves or walls. All you need is a canvas (or just card would be fine too, if you don’t have canvas), and a set of alphabet stamps (again, you could hand write it too).
I would suggest that you write down exactly what you’re going to write first, because even if you know the quote or song off by heart, mistakes can happen. Start stamping at the top of your canvas, and just stamp your heart out. You can opt to either fill up the line by starting a word even if it won’t all fit before you have to drop down, or you can make sure all the words are complete. It’s up to you. I opted for the former option, and as you can see, some of the words on the right hand side finish on the line below.
Don’t worry if you get to the end and you haven’t actually finished. I had hoped I was going to finished with “I hope you know somebody loves, and wants the same things too, yeah this is my wish’…buuuut I only got as far as ‘I hope you know’. And that’s okay! Don’t worry if it’s not perfect either; I think that’s partly why I like this so much.
This DIY takes as long as it takes you to stamp. It took me about 15-20 minutes to stamp this, but if yours is smaller, then obviously it will take even less time.
