Book Haul #9…

It happened again. I wasn’t really meaning for it to happen…but I went to the Warehouse…and found the sale/clearance bins. I can’t walk past without taking a peek! And if I don’t buy the clearance books, it’s like they’re sad and unwanted. I want you, books! I know someone else would buy the, eventually…but why wait for that to happen when I could easily buy them myself…? That’s good logic, right? I got As in Logic at Uni, so I confirm that that really is good logic. Anywhoooo…Only 7 books…ahem…this time.

Silverthorn, by Raymond E. Feist
This is the second in a series, and I read the first one, Magician, years ago. I bought it a couple of hauls ago at the opshop, so when this one was only a few dollars, I snapped it up. I actually managed to get the third one too, this same day, but at the opshop. That’s the next book haul!

Spellcaster and Steadfast, by Claudia Gray
I borrowed the first in this series, Spellcaster, from the library at the beginning of the year, but because I borrowed about 10 books in one go, I didn’t actually get around to reading it. I found these two for under $5 each, so I thought ‘what the heck’ and added them to my middle.

Dangerous Creatures, by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
To be honest, I didn’t actually know that this book existed. But when I saw it sitting on the clearance shield, I picked it up, and have now added it to the others. This book is a shorter one than the Beautiful Creatures series, and it tells the story of Ridley, who is a cousin in the BC series. I haven’t actually read more than the first one in Beautiful Creatures, but I did enjoy it and will read the rest when time allows.

Dance of Shadows, by Yelena Black
I had actually seen this book in the Warehouse a while ago, but hadn’t bought it because it was full price, and I refuse to pay $25 for a book. Don’t be ridiculous. But then I saw it in the sale! Hazaa! Take that! While I hadn’t heard of it till that time I saw it, it sounds interesting…a sort of fantasy/supernatural/romance type novel. You can read more about it here.

Tiger Lily, by Jodi Lynn Anderson
This sounds super neat. I love books that are a twist on the fairy tales and stories we already know and love. Tiger Lily is about…well, Tiger Lily. “Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair…” Sounds awesome! I will definitely let you know what it’s like!

All our Yesterdays, by Cristin Terrill
Another one I wasn’t really aware of, but one that sounds good all the same. It sounds like a YA dystopian type story, which I’m loving at the moment. You can read the Good Reads description here.

Another book haul done and dusted…with yet another on it’s way. Seriously, I need to stop buying books (said nobody ever…). The next book haul I’m sharing with you actually happened on the same day as this one, though all of these I bought for under $5 at the Warehouse, and then next ones I bought 4 for $10 at the local opshop.
