Check it: another book haul.

This is actually a few weeks coming. I got all these books throughout July, but I so many other things happened in July that I didn’t quite manage to squeeze it into the blogging schedule.

Two weeks ago I shared Book Haul 44, and I’m disappointed to say that I still haven’t read any of those books. Out of this book, I’ve already read 3! What a month. Some of these books I received from the wonderful people over at Hachette Publishing (seriously you guys, best publishing people ever!), and one from an Owl Crate box. Shall we just dive in?

book haul 45 this splendid shambles everybody hurts when dimple met rishi hachette

Everybody Hurts, by Joanna Nadin and Anthony McGowan

This is a gem from Hachette Publishing. It’s a YA story about Matt and Sophia, they “in the same city, but they come from opposite sides of the track. By rights they should never have met. They definitely should never have fallen in love at first sight, of all cliches.” Thanks Goodreads.

When Dimple Met Rishi, by Sandhya Menon

When Dimple Met Rishi is one that I have already read. This was such a fun story about culture, growing up, family, first loves, coding, and a whole lot of Bollywood. You read my full review of it here; thanks to Hachette NZ for this copy.

book haul 45 this splendid shambles gentlemans guide to vide and virtue court of wings and ruin

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, by Mackenzi Lee

You guys this book was so much fun! I received this in the July Owl Crate box and it was a great read. It’s about Monty, his sister Felicity, and his best friend Percy as they go on their tour of Europe from England. But Monty is in love with Percy, Felicity is smarter than the both of them put together, there is a mysterious box, a secret, pirates, and so much more. It was just a fun read. Highly recommend. Would even read again. Read my full review on Blogger’s Bookshelf!

A Court of Wings and Ruin, by Sarah J. Maas

I have a confession to make: I still haven’t read the first two in this series. I have another confession to make: I still haven’t finished reading the Throne of Glass series. *gasp* I know, I know. The first 3 books in ToG series were brilliant, but I quite haven’t got around to reading the rest. This means this series has been put on the back burner. But I know it’ll be good and I really want to read them. Hopefully this year!

book haul 45 this splendid shambles the wrath and the dawn

The Wrath and the Dawn, and The Rose and the Dagger, by Renee Ahdieh

Just this year I read Flame in the Mist, also by Ahdieh, so when I saw these on sale in the bookstore I thought I’d give them a ago. Turns out they were already on my to-be-read list, but obviously, I had forgotten about that. Have yet to read, but I hear they’re quick good. If you’ve read them, what did you think?

Have you hauled any books recently? What did you get?
