Welcome to the BoMoSh!
If you missed last month’s post, then in short, the BoMoSh is a new post for Books, Movies and Shows. I’ll be sharing what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.
Books | 6
- Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline
- Of Fire and Stars, by Audrey Coulthurst
- The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, by Mary Ann Shaffer
- Immortal Reign, by Morgan Rhodes
- Queen of Shadows, by Sarah J. Maas
- Unwind, by Neal Shusterman
This month I’m rather pleased with how many books I’ve read. I think it was mostly due to the fact that I was away for quite a bit – 5 days at the begining of April, then the last 2 weeks – so I had a lot of down time to just chill out and read. I loved Ready Player One, and wanted to read it before the movie was released. Same with Guernsey (really cool story! Can’t wait to see the movie!).
Immortal Reign was the final in the Falling Kingdoms series, and I think it was a great ending. I’ve now read all 6 books this year, and am really glad I picked them up. Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass series 4) was on my Blogger’s Bookshelf Vow-to-Read list for 2018, and I thought it was a good sized book to take away with me to Mongolia. I did, however, finish it on day 4. Which leads me to the other book which follow in the list; thankfully I had downloaded a bunch of Kindle books so I had something to read after Queen of Shadows.
Reviews for these books coming soon!
Movies
- Finding your Feet (2018)
- Colonia (2015)
- Thor: Ragnorak (2017)
- Coco (2017)
- Murder on the Orient Express (2017)
- Table 19 (2017)
- Ferdinand (2017)
This month I watched way more movies than in previous months, because that’s what you do when you head overseas on a long-haul flight. In fact, all the movies I watched in April were seen away from home.
Shows
Riverdale continued this month, as did Shadowhunters. I also finished the first season of Dynasty, and caught up on Nashville Season 1. A show that I have been meaning to watch for ages now but haven’t got around to it, is The Mindy Project. I watched Season 1 and 2 this month and am loving it. Should have started it ages ago.
I watched the second season of A Series of Unfortuntate Events (thanks, Netflix), and rewatched a bunch of I.T. Crowd episodes. I also managed to watch Lucifer Season 2.
Next Month…
Books – I think I’m expecting some Hachette Publishing books this month, but I might be wrong. I also hope to read our BB book club book,
Movies – Must get out to see Ready Player One this month, as well as The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, now that I’ve read both books. Solo (the latest stand-alone Star Wars movie) is being released in May and I can’t wait! Avengers: Infinity War has just come out so I plan to see that too.
Drop me a comment if you have any suggestions for books, movies or shows.
What have you read and watched this month?
