Welcome to the BoMoSh!

The BoMoSh stands for Books, Movies and Shows, and that’s exactly what we talk about on these monthly posts. I share what I’ve read and seen in the last month, and I always welcome suggestions for books, shows and movies. Leave me a comment if you think there’s something that I might enjoy.

Books | 6

Six books this month (although perhaps seven, depending on how I got in the final days of August (EDIT ON THE 28th: I’ve now just finished Beast, by Lisa Jensen too)). I did actually start and was mostly halfway through Smoke in the Sun by the time August started, and The Good Die Young is a comic book, so it’s not quite as impressive as it may initially sound.

I loved Grace and Fury and To All the Boys, and while I enjoyed Sea Witch it wasn’t a favourite. Travelling in the Dark was our Blogger’s Bookshelf Book Club read for August, and it was about New Zealand!

Movies | 2

  • Mission Impossible: Fall Out

A measly two movies this month. I’m just not into movies at the moment! You’ll be forever noticing my ‘shows’ list is consistently longer, and I suspect will always be the case. Having said that, I finished reading To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han this past weekend, and promptly watched the movie the day after.  So. Good.

Shows

I finally finished The Mindy Project this month. It’s one I’ve been chugging away at for a few months, and I so enjoyed it. I’m a bit sad it’s over. I’ve started Great News on Netflix, but it’s not as funny as I was hoping it would be. We’ll see; I may bail on it. I also finished Killjoys season 2, and began season 3 of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Next Month…

Books – I have so many new books to read! I’m so looking forward to them! On the immanent list include Beast, by Lisa Jenson, The Imposters by Scott Westerfield, The Anger of Angels by Sherryl Jordan, and I really must finish the Runaways comic series; I have about five left.

Movies – I’m planning already to see A Simple Favour as part of one of the cinema’s chick-flick nights – a showing of the film for the girls, with wine and nibbles! Really looking forward to it!

Shows – I might spend some time this coming month on catch ups before ‘fall’ hits and we’re bombarded with new shows.

Drop me a comment if you have any suggestions for books, movies or shows.

What have you read and watched this month?
