A little while ago I was approached by Sticker Swaps, asking if I’d like to review their subscription box. Obviously I said yes, because, well stickers.
Did you guys ever go through that sticker phase at school? You know the one. Everyone had a sticker album and you brought it to school and swapped stickers with you friends?
“If you give me your sparkly unicorn sticker, I’ll give you this fuzzy fairy sticker.”
My friends and I used to do this a lot. I probably have my sticker album in storage somewhere. I remember it was so well used that I had to tape the spine together so it wouldn’t just be pages of stickers, lose.
Anyway. Sticker Swaps is kind of like that – a collection of stickers, with a featured packet each month. You can check out my review of the December ‘box’ here.
Here’s what was in the January one (which I got later because New Zealand is so far away from everywhere):

So here are all the stickers in the January box. I’ll unwrap the Featured stickers in a moment, but there’s a pretty random mix of other stickers (like always) in this box.
We’ve got a a panda, a donut which has eyes and those little things on it are like little worm guys, then there’s a Paris France travel-like sticker, a camp fire, a skeleton hand, and a rocking McDonald’s hand. Then there’s just the Sticker Swaps sticker which is the same each month.
I think my favourite is the panda (definitely putting that on a phone cover), and I also really love the Paris sticker too, because, well Paris.
As the FAQs on their site say, “Each month we hand select a MINIMUM of 5 high quality featured stickers – as well as a stack of random “lucky dip” stickers from our HUGE collection!” Here’s what was in the little packet:

Okay, so in December’s box, the featured stickers were all quite similar in style, but these guys are all quite a bit different to each other. We have a pointing ice-block hand with an angry face, a reflected old man sticker (which I thought at first was a monkey reflected, but upon further inspection I suspect it’s an old man), a dog with an almost Great Gatsby-styled background, a ‘meh’ cat pulling the fingers, and a Pikachu that looks like it’s wearing a Sailor Mercury wig, a baker’s hat and is wielding a recorder. Because of course. Might be wrong on that, but that’s what he looks like. *shrugs*
I think overall I liked the December featured stickers more, but I do like these.
Price
Like most subscription boxes, there are levels of cost. For the Sticker Swaps box, you can subscribed to a Month to Month payment at US $9.99, a 3 Month Prepay at US $27.99 or a 6 Month Prepay at US $53.99. You can see more on their pricing page.
Shipping
Shipping is free worldwide, which is fantastic.

So that was the January Sticker Swaps box! A few of these stickers I’m going to turn into phone cases, so that’ll be fun.
What did you think of this box? Which one is your favourite sticker?
Disclaimer: Thank you to Sticker Swaps, who provided me with this box in exchange for a review.
Update in 2022: Unfortunately, it looks as though Sticker Swaps have shut up their business for now.
