I know I’ve already shared my Goodreads Challenge, but I thought we needed an update.
Just a quick run down, if you’re not familiar. The Goodreads Reading Challenge is exactly what it sounds like: a reading challenge put out into the world by the wonderful team at Goodreads. Each year you select a number of books that you wish to read during the next 365 days, and see if you can reach your number. I’ve done the reading challenge since 2013, and each year I aim to read between 40 and 50 books. 2017 saw me setting a goal of 40, and by October I had already completed it. Hazaa!
I shared all the books I read with you back then, but thought it would a nice way to finish the year taking a look at the books I read after my challenge was completed. I managed to read 50/40 which I think is rather good, if I do say so myself. I think it really helped that last February I read about 7 books over the coarse of the 28 days, which really boosted the number from month 2. In July I updated everyone with how the challenge was going, and by then it was humming along quite nicely.
I’ve read quite a few excellent books in the past 3 months, all of which you can find below, with links to my reviews both here on This Splendid Shambles in the last few months, and over at Blogger’s Bookshelf from the course of the year.
